Rohani Bixler, Principal Lawyer

As the Principal Lawyer at Olivetree Legal, Rohani is well placed to assist with questions about Wills, Trusts, and Estates. Rohani supports people to make informed decisions about succession strategies, whether in the planning or administration phase, or in the process of estate litigation. She has practiced exclusively in estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation since 2006, working with City, Suburban and Peninsula-based firms. She has extensive experience with the creation of bespoke solutions for complex family concerns, including planning for vulnerable beneficiaries, blended families and private businesses.

Linda Shepherd, Special Counsel

Linda has 20 years of experience in commercial law with a focus in recent years in the areas of SMSFs, business succession and property matters. Linda has worked in private law firms in Melbourne and on the Mornington Peninsula as well as in corporate legal services, most recently being the senior associate and manager of a leading Australian legal documentation firm.

Linda’s experience allows her to provide efficient and affordable legal services in a relaxed setting.

Linda holds a Law Degree (Hons), a Commerce Degree and a Graduate Diploma in Insurance.

Jonathan Hopkins, Lawyer

Jonathan worked in finance law and commercial litigation before pivoting to becoming an English and literature teacher. His interest in Wills and Estates drew him back to law and he enjoys the client interaction and future scenario planning involved in drafting the perfect Will. An inveterate traveller, Jonathan has lived and studied in Spain, Argentina, England, Canada, and the United States, and hopes to one day tick Antarctica off his list. He also enjoys cinema, reading fiction, playing tennis, and exploring the delights of the Mornington Peninsula with his young family.

Sarah specialises in both estate planning and estate litigation, assisting clients with matters involving Wills, trusts and deceased estates. She is committed to providing clear, practical guidance and supporting clients through circumstances which are often complex and emotionally challenging.
Sarah’s experience in client-facing roles across professional environments has shaped her strong commitment to communication and client service. Her approachable manner coupled with practical legal experience enables her to support clients through complex legal processes with clarity and care.

Catherine Moroney, Lawyer

Lawyer

Tara is a dedicated lawyer who is committed to providing practical, personalised legal advice during some of life’s most challenging times. She specialises in deceased estates, including probate and letters of administration, estate litigation, superannuation claims and AFCA complaints. In addition to her work with deceased estates, Tara also assists with VCAT Administration and Guardianship applications as well as retirement village contract reviews. Tara’s extensive experience in client-facing roles enables her to build genuine rapport with clients, understand their unique circumstances, and deliver clear, practical advice tailored to their objectives. Her compassion and experience provide clients with the support needed to navigate the Probate process effectively.

Sharlene Harvey, Probate Clerk

Sharlene Harvey has accumulated four decades of experience in the legal industry. Specialising in the area of deceased estates, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a Probate Clerk. Outside of work, Sharlene can be found either lost in the world of photography or putting on her ballet shoes and dancing – an activity she’s enjoyed since she was first introduced at the early age of four.

Hilary Mahoney,
Probate Clerk

After 12 years in school administration, Hilary repurposed her strong organisational skills for the benefit of Olivetree Legal’s Probate team.  Outside of work, Hilary is likely to be found near a netball court, working on her novel or in summer months enjoying the beaches of Merimbula.

Megan Beer,
Paralegal

With extensive experience in the aged care system as both a nurse and senior administrator, Megan is a passionate advocate for vulnerable members of the community, ensuring their needs are met with compassion and efficiency. Her exceptional administrative expertise coupled with her client-focused approach makes Megan a crucial part of the Olivetree team. Megan works primarily in the estate litigation team and is dedicated to providing personalized support and ensuring every client feels heard, understood, and valued.

Brooke Hokai,
Litigation Assistant & Office Administrator

Brooke is a valued part of the Olivetree estate litigation team, with a strong background in managing complex documentation and handling sensitive information with professionalism and care. She brings a diligent, detail‑focused approach to her work to ensure clients are informed and supported through their Olivetree experience. Outside the office, Brooke enjoys travelling with her fiancé, exploring new places and discovering new experiences.
